H&M Spring-Summer by Marni

H&M already has its next designer collaboration lined up: Marni. The collection, which encompasses womenswear, menswear, jewelry, shoes, bags, and scarves, hits 260 H&M stores worldwide and online on March 8, 2012.

According to the collection's press release: "For women, the colors are vivid and the prints are bold, be they African inspired or simpler color blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit, and fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. For men, the colors and fabrics are softened for a relaxed take on menswear staples that is truly Marni. The use of print is subtle, often as a lining or as a contrast detail for shirts, the silhouette a modern and relaxed take on masculine classics."

H&M By Night Collection 2011

H&M Fall 2011 by Night Collection is classy and seductive. The bright colors, attention grabbing combination, bold cuts and the fabric used showcases the feminine choice of style. The dress collection is simply worth of finding place in our wardrobe. Apart from fuchsia dresses, there are simple, short black dresses that never goes out of trend and can be worn on any event.  

 

Versace for H&M

Yet another H&M designer collaboration is upon us, and this one promises to be major: Versace for H&M.

The fall 2011 collection is designed by creative director Donatella Versace, and according the press release, promises to "recall the vibrant heritage of the brand, complete with leather, prints, color and exuberance in exclusive materials at fantastic H&M prices.

Donatella gushed in the same press release, "I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere."

H&M DUBAI

A tipster at La Moda Dubai pointed out that Gisele Bündchen‘s spring campaign for H&M looks just a little different in Dubai. The site ran the campaign and then one of their Facebook followers pointed out that the ads were different from the US campaign. “Perhaps some changes were made to better align the campaign with the sensibilities of the GCC market,” the site mused (GCC is the Gulf Cooperation Council countries which are: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE). This is undoubtedly not the first time this has happened–it makes sense that global campaigns are altered to fit each market. It’s just that the changes made to this particular H&M campaign for the GCC market are glaringly obvious.

FIRST H&M STORE - BUCHAREST, ROMANIA

Karl-Johan Persson, CEO, and Carlos Duarte, Country Manager Romania, cut the inaugural red ribbon together with the two store managers, Alina Cristea and Doina Bunea at AFI Palace, on March 25th. From now on, you lucky ones from Bucharest and the cities nearby have your own HM universe to splash into. We, the less fortunate one, are still waiting for this wonderful moment a few more months.

“We feel a warm welcome from our Romanian customers, who can finally shop fashion and quality at the best price at H&M”, says Carlos Duarte, H&M Romania Country Manager. ”We look forward to the upcoming weeks, when we will open 5 more stores in Romania.”

At last night’s VIP event, local celebrities, media, stylists and socialites such as Andreea Raicu, Laura Cosoi, Andi Moisescu, Smiley, Iulia Vantur and Andreea Esca attended for an ultimate shopping experience.

By the end of spring 2011, H&M will open 5 more stores, 4 in Bucharest and one in Brasov. Two stores will open in Cluj and Timisoara during this autumn.
